Overview

Discover two of Kenya's most rewarding safari destinations on this immersive eight-night journey, combining the untamed wilderness of Meru National Park with the wildlife-rich plains of the Masai Mara's exclusive Ol Kinyei Conservancy.

Your adventure begins with four nights at the beautiful Rhino River Camp, nestled beneath a canopy of riverine forest in Meru National Park—one of Kenya's most unspoilt and diverse wilderness areas. Renowned for its exceptional wildlife and remarkably low visitor numbers, Meru offers superb game viewing without the crowds. It's not uncommon to have a sighting entirely to yourself, creating an unforgettable and deeply personal safari experience.

From Meru, you'll travel by  light aircraft to the private Ol Kinyei Conservancy for four nights at the Porini Ol Kinyei Safari Cottages. As one of the original community-owned conservancies within the Masai Mara ecosystem, Ol Kinyei is celebrated for its outstanding wildlife, including healthy populations of lion, leopard and cheetah. With only a small number of guests sharing this exclusive wilderness, you'll enjoy an intimate safari experience enhanced by Porini's unique approach: every game drive is accompanied by both a highly experienced guide and a dedicated spotter, maximising your chances of incredible wildlife encounters.

Explore this spectacular conservancy on guided game drives, bush walks with Maasai warriors, and off-road safaris that allow you to follow wildlife wherever the action unfolds—experiences not permitted in the national reserve itself.

Together, these two exceptional destinations offer the perfect blend of contrasting landscapes, abundant wildlife and authentic safari experiences, far removed from Kenya's busier parks.

Should you wish to spend a day exploring the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve itself, this can easily be arranged during your stay.

Important Luggage Information: Due to luggage restrictions on scheduled safari flights, only soft-sided bags are permitted, with a maximum weight of 15kg per person. If you are continuing to a beach destination or another safari after this itinerary, we can securely store your main luggage for the duration of your trip.
