Overview

Framed by breath-taking Mount Athos views and a stunning golden sand beach, Eagles Palace is one of our most beautiful hotels in Halkidiki. Ideal for couples and families alike, Eagle Palace oozes serenity and laidback glamour.

We love how the architecture and décor melts into the surroundings. You’ll find lovely hidden coves where you can sunbathe, a beautiful terrace and pool overlooking the ocean, and gorgeous al fresco restaurants embodying the typical warm Greek hospitality.

Choose from a range of gorgeous Mediterranean-style rooms, suites and bungalows, all offering either verdant garden or relaxing sea views. We love the little bungalows as they offer a little slice of seclusion with fabulous balconies and some even with a pool.

Though there’s clearly a more relaxed side to this hotel, we do recommend it for families too. The Explorers Kids Club gives kids lots of fun outdoor activities to do whilst mum and dad relax by the beach.

  • Presidential Bungalow Sea Front Private Pool – Huge 111sqm bungalows with panoramic ocean views, a private bar, a walk-in wardrobe, and a spacious terrace with sun loungers, outdoor sofas and a large private pool.

  • Kamares - An idyllic adult-only restaurant set on a scenic wooden platform with unsurpassable views over the island of Ammouliani, serving a gourmet menu created by one-star Michelin chef Alexandros Tsiotinis. We’d recommend this for a fancy celebration. Open 8pm-11pm. 
  • Armyra – In the day, this restaurant feels like a traditional Greek taverna, with lovely sit-down dining and a great lunch menu. Come the evening, we’d recommend booking a table on the over-water deck – the sunset views are sensational, and the sound of the waves and festoon lighting make for a romantic atmosphere. The seafood is grilled on a BBQ right on the beach. Open 1pm-5pm and 8pm-11pm, June to September.
  • Melathron Restaurant – A fantastic restaurant with an international buffet for breakfast and dinner. Our top pick for families. We’d advise getting there early for breakfast so you can secure a table on the balcony – the bird watching and views of the hotel are a great way to start the day. Open 7am-10.30am and 7.30pm-11.30pm
  • Vinum Grill – Located halfway up the cliff with a gorgeous al fresco dining area overlooking the pool, this grill restaurant serves prime cuts alongside produce from local Greek farms. Certainly, one for the meat eaters! If skioufikta with braised beef cheeks is on the menu, we’d thoroughly recommend.  
  • Patio Bistro – The main reception leads out onto this beautiful patio area, surrounded by large hydrangeas and olive trees. A very picturesque spot to grab a burger or salad for lunch. 
  • Cantina – Nestled right on the beach, we quickly fell in love with this Greek food truck serving fresh gyros and cold drinks. A 30 second walk from your sun lounger, it’s the perfect distance for a quick lunch, or you could even get it as a takeaway. 
  • Lofos – Located in the Eagles Villas section, this Italian restaurant is open for all guests at dinnertime, and well worth a visit. Take a golf buggy up the cliff and ask for a seat outside. The view from the deck is gorgeous, as are the authentic pizzas, pastas and salads. Open 7.30pm-10.30pm.
  • Cabin Bar – Located in the Eagles Villas section but open to all. In our opinion, the best spot for a mojito. The wooden deck offers spectacular views of the island. When we visited in June, the bar always felt quieter than the bars at Eagles Palace. 
  • Ammos Beach Bar – Situated right next to the Cantina, serving a great selection of drinks and ice creams. The Freddo Espresso is a welcome choice to start off a morning of lounging. You can even order straight to your lounger via a QR code – bliss. 
  • Eagles Club – Sat between Kamares and Melathron at the top of the cliff, with a large lawn area to sit and enjoy a drink. The staff are so friendly and bring your drinks to you. The live music is a fun addition to an evening. 
  • Armyra Pool Bar – This was our favourite spot for a spicy margarita. Sit by the bar, in the pool, or in a shaded spot overlooking the beach. A welcome spot to cool down.
