Overview

Escape to the untouched beauty of Cambodia’s Koh Rong Archipelago at Song Saa Private Island, an exclusive tropical retreat where barefoot luxury and a deep connection with nature go hand in hand. The name Song Saa means ‘The Sweethearts’ in Khmer, inspired by the two petite islands that make up the resort, Koh Ouen and Koh Bong, which are joined by a footbridge spanning waters so clear you may spot turtles below. Set in the Gulf of Thailand, the islands are surrounded by crystal-clear waters, coral reefs and pristine beaches.

With just 24 private pool villas, Song Saa offers an intimate island experience, with accommodation tucked amongst the jungle or overlooking the ocean. Reclaimed timber, natural materials and locally inspired design give each villa a wonderfully relaxed feel, while private pools and expansive outdoor spaces make it easy to settle into island life.

Days here can be as adventurous or as leisurely as you wish. Snorkel the house reef, kayak through secluded bays, explore the surrounding islands or simply unwind beside your private pool. Song Saa Private Island is set in the Koh Rong Archipelago, off Cambodia’s southern coast in the Gulf of Thailand. The resort is reached by boat, adding to the feeling of escaping to your own private paradise.

The nearest airport is Sihanoukville International Airport, around 25 minutes by road from the Song Saa Lounge at Sihanoukville Port. From the port, the resort is approximately a 45-minute speedboat journey across the sparkling waters to the island.

Alternatively, you can fly into Phnom Penh International Airport and continue by road to Sihanoukville, with the journey taking around 2.5 - 3 hours by car via the expressway.

  • Ocean View Villa - Set on the edge of the ocean, these airy villas make the most of Song Saa’s spectacular setting. Each features a private infinity pool, spacious terrace and separate beach deck with sunbeds, creating the perfect spot for relaxing with uninterrupted views across the Gulf of Thailand.
  • One Bed Overwater Villa - Perched above the crystal-clear waters, these romantic villas offer an unforgettable island escape. Enjoy direct access to the ocean from your private deck, a 26-square-metre infinity pool and a glass floor offering glimpses of the marine life below.
  • Two Bed Overwater Villa - Spread across 300 square metres, these spacious overwater villas are perfect for families or couples travelling together.   • The Royal Villa - Song Saa’s flagship villa offers the ultimate private island experience. Set above the water with views towards Koh Bong, this expansive two-bedroom retreat features a 33-square-metre private pool, oversized sunken baths, indoor and outdoor showers and direct access to the surrounding marine reserve.
