We have created an itinerary visiting Hanoi in the north and Ho Chi Minh City (aka Saigon) in the south of Vietnam, with some relaxing time at the end in one of the best beach resorts. Begin with three nights in the exciting city of Hanoi, a melting pot of ancient and modern, you can't miss the Halong Bay cruise here, we recommend taking the new route which goes further afield and takes you out through Lan Ha Bay - less visited and just as beautiful. You’ll then fly to Ho Chi Minh (locally known as Saigon), where ancient palaces contrast with trendy rooftop bars and bustling markets. We highly recommend the Vespa street food tour - its a lot of fun and the street food is delicious. Finally. end your adventure on the South East coast of Vietnam, in the resort area of Mui Ne at the gorgeous Sailing Club Mui Ne.

Itinerary

Days 1 to 3 - Hanoi

You will be met upon arrival at Hanoi airport by your private driver and transferred to your hotel. You have a couple of days to enjoy this charming city, and it’s worth booking a city tour so that you don’t miss the highlights. We’d also recommend a foodie tour here, as Hanoi is widely considered to be the culinary capital of Vietnam. If you want, you could also book a day trip to Halong Bay, where you can cruise between the spectacular limestone formations.

Day 4 - Lan Ha Bay cruise

Transfer to Halong Bay to begin your cruise journey taking you further afield to the stunning Lan Ha Bay.

Days 5 to 7 - Saigon

Continue your journey south with a short flight over to the exciting city of Saigon. You must visit at least one of the many museums, choose from the thought-provoking War Remnants Museum, the fascinating Women’s Museum or for a glimpse into alternative medicine how about the Museum of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine. You can also visit the infamous Cu Chi tunnels, visit the Mekong Delta floating markets, and sample the fabulous food and vibrant nightlife.

Days 8 to 12 – Mui Ne beach area
